Beyond his photography, Ernst Coppejans has expanded his outreach through traveling outdoor exhibitions that address significant societal issues. These exhibitions cover topics like intersex rights, the lives of LGBTQ elderly individuals, and the grim realities of human trafficking. His impactful series "SOLD," which features survivors of human trafficking, has received international acclaim and is part of the collection at the International Slavery Museum in Liverpool, UK. His work is also showcased in various museums and art fairs, furthering his mission to provoke thought and awareness.
In his latest project 'from the streets to the heart' Coppejans sheds light on the struggles faced by homeless LGBTQIA+ youth. This series was exhibited in an extended outdoor multi media exhibition from June-September 2024 in New York City. This project is a powerful testament to Coppejans' dedication to using photography as a medium for social change.
